Register online with the California Secretary of State.

All Californians have the option to vote by mail. It is automatically mailed to all registered voters. You can track the progress of your ballot and receive email, text, or recording voice messages. You'll receive these alerts three times in the process:

1. Your ballot was mailed to you,

2. The registrar has received it back from you,

3. Your vote was counted. Many voters find this reassuring.
